Good morning, Swamp Blog readers!
I hope you're all preparing for the summer of a lifetime, with the best games of laser tag, the craziest dance parties and the most memorable times at the greatest place on Earth! Here is a special announcement from this summer's Drama Director in regards to what opportunities there are to participate in the weekly Friday night show:
There is going to be a lot more drama at camp this year... Not that kind of drama! We are introducing a new Dramatics Program this summer. We will have a "casting call" on Sunday evening and choose about 10 people to participate. We are looking for campers of all ages who want to express themselves on stage (dancers, singers, actors, etc.)! We will meet everyday during Bible Class and perform what we've come up with on Friday in front of the entire camp! I can't wait to see you all there! Your Drama Director, Maggie

This year, Camp Swamp celebrates it's 25th birthday! A quarter-century full of wonderful memories, camp traditions, the most delicious and heavenly food, countless friendship bracelets and unbreakable relationships. By the end of this summer, there will have been roughly 200 weeks of camp in all its history. That's crazy! Think of the all the amazing and lasting impacts that have been made in these past 25 years of camp. A total of over 1,000 families in attendance, going over three generations. This summer, Swamp Corps will be training in it's 10th international location. God has truly blessed the work that has been done at Camp Swamp, and He has given those who have had the privilege of attending camp the opportunity to understand his love more and to forever connect us to one another.
This fall, Camp Swamp would like to extend an invitation to you all to celebrate these amazing 25 years, to reconnect with former counselors and cabinmates, to recollect the all the fun memories and reconsider what God has in store for the next 25 years. Thanks for reading! Reflecting on the impact that camp has made over the years has definitely put a lot of gratitude on my heart, and I'm very grateful for not only my own experience and connections at Camp Swamp, but also the values I've gained and the lessons I've learned along the way. And if you're reading this, I'm sure you can relate! I encourage you to share those things with one another as well as with those who haven't experienced camp! I think that's what has kept the spirit of camp alive in our hearts over the past 25 years, and what will continue to keep it alive for the generations to come!
Until next week,
Dec. 29-Jan. 1
